An organic perfume is mainly composed of natural ingredients, to be exact, at least 95% . Often these are substances of plant origin grown without the use of chemicals. These substances are not considered in the perfume creation process. The main ingredients of organic perfumes are only 3: essential oils , which are responsible for the fragrance, distilled water and natural alcohol.obtained from vegetables such as wheat, corn, grapes or sugar cane. The convenience of using essential oils, in addition to the ethical aspect, being vegetable products have not been tested on animals, also concerns health. Its aroma is more delicate and does not have the harmful effects of the chemicals found in synthetic perfumes.

Synthetic perfume, apart from its aroma, contains numerous chemical substances, generally derived from petroleum. Among these are parabens and phthalates , both potentially harmful to health. In fact, 60% of the chemicals contained in synthetic perfumes can penetrate deeplyand reach the circulatory system, with negative health effects. The choice of using these substances for the production of perfumes is based on the mass that these types of products have undergone. This also implies the need to keep prices lower, according to a purely industrial logic. In a way diametrically opposed to organic perfume, which, unlike synthetic perfume, requires a long and careful preparation.
